My birthday arrives! Today I decided to try something I haven’t really done before, a human figure. I think I still like folding animals more, but this wizard was a good challenge. I hope he is more a Gandalf than a Rincewind.
I will admit, 2023 was not the greatest year of my life. Back in 2022 I made a pledge that by the time my birthday rolled around in 2023 I would be employed and have finally found some purpose in life. Reflecting on these goals in 2023, I realise this year has taught me about managing expectations, being flexible with goals, and how to explain away a failure to meet goals when your peers ask. But here’s hoping this wisdom might pull me through 2024!
